You can minimize the Drawing Tools pane to make more space for planning by clicking on the arrow at the top right of the Drawing Tools.

You can also enter Full Screen mode by clicking on Fullscreen at the bottom right corner of your browser window to make more space:

The whole Garden Planner (including toolbars and fonts) can be shrunk down or enlarged by using your browser’s Zoom controls. You can then enlarge the plan using the Garden Planner Zoom buttons if needed, which results in the plan still being a reasonable size but the toolbars etc being smaller.
