Login with Google (OAuth)

Enable Google login for your organization using OAuth 2.0

If your organization uses Google Workspace, you can allow users to sign in to Whistleblower Software using their Google account.

If your organization requires SAML-based Google integration with centralized access control, use the SAML 2.0 Google guide instead.

How to Enable Google Login

  1. Go to Settings > Security.

  2. Under Login options, toggle on Login with Google.

  3. Save your changes.

Only administrators, system technician and user-defined users with access to security settings can make these changes.

That's it. Once enabled, users will see a "Sign in with Google" button on the login page. They sign in using the Google account that matches their email address in Whistleblower Software.

Important Notes

  • The email address of the Google account must match exactly the email address of the user in Whistleblower Software.

  • Users must already exist in Whistleblower Software before they can sign in. Enabling Google login does not create users automatically.

  • You can keep password login enabled alongside Google login, or disable it so users can only sign in via Google.

  • Login using a Google alias will not work. Users must sign in with their primary Google account email address, which must match exactly the email stored in Whistleblower Software.
