In this guide, we’ll cover how to set up and manage approval flows in Formalize.

Overview

Approval Flows in Formalize allow you to create custom multi-step approval processes, where each step is assigned to a specific approver. These flows help ensure accountability and control over critical actions like completing tasks, publishing policies, reviewing suppliers or risks.

How to set up an Approval Flow

In the video below, we walk you through a high-level overview of how to create an approval flow in Formalize, including:

  • Defining each approval step

  • Assigning responsible approvers

  • Structuring the flow to fit your internal processes


The Approver’s point of view

Once assigned, approvers will receive a notification by email prompting them to review and take action. They’ll be able to see the context of the approval and either approve or reject the step.
