Regulation (EU) 2020/1503 (the Crowdfunding Regulation) is a Pan-European regulatory framework which ensures that a licensed crowdfunding service provider needs to comply with the same or similar regulatory requirements in all EU member states, and can therefore operate on a Pan-European level. The main aim of the obligations of crowdfunding service providers under the regulatory framework is the protection of retail investors. From one side, these requirements dictate which data we need to disclose to our users and which measures need to be in place to allow investors to make calculated choices regarding their financial well-being. Nevertheless, these regulatory requirements also stipulate what information needs to be disclosed to users. This means that we have to collect more information about our users, both investors and borrowers.
