The attached Excel file lists all Tax Estimator and Tax Position helptext for both Cost Estimates and Compensation Calculations. The information is located in 3 tabs:

  1. Tax Estimator. This tab provides a full list of each authority's estimator-level Home and Host helptext. This includes helptext relating to:

    • Social security contributions

    • Voluntary pension contributions

    • Payroll taxes

    • Concessions

    • Filing Status, Marital Status, and Dependents

  2. Tax Positions. This tab provides a full list of available Tax Positions alongside the applicable help text.

  3. Recommended Tax Positions. This tab summarizes the 3 Equus recommended Tax Position Sets for Cost Estimate. Review these settings as part of cost estimate template design to ensure the positions are consistent with your policies.

If the Equus recommended tax position settings do not match your policy’s needs, indicate the required change in the Change To column accompanying each tax position set (unhide columns I, K, and M).

The available settings of each input is shown in the Input Options column. The available options are separate by “ / ”. For example, the option of Yes or No is shown as Yes / No.

You may specify an input as Value Not Set so that no option is defaulted. In this case, the user will be required to supply a decision during the creation of the Cost Estimate or Compensation Calculation. If using What-If Cost Estimate, the calculation may error requiring reviewer intervention.
