The current release includes several new features which enhance the functionality of AssignmentPro.

Batch update task owners in Checklists

Checklist tasks can now be reassigned in a batch, to allow for mass updates when owners change.

Widgets & Dashboards

It is now possible to migrate an entire dashboard, with all widgets and user reports in one package, saving time in moving and copying configuration between production and test sites.

Business Rules

Business rules are now available at system level and include system level user tables, allowing rules to be shared across multiple companies.

Other Features

AssignmentPro APIs

The People API now supports searching for Assignments and Employees by alternate identifiers.

  • Additional usage information can be found in the API documentation portal. Four new endpoints are available which accept GET requests with the following parameters and will return all Employees or Assignments that match the provided search criteria:

    • Assignment: From Employee ID

    • Assignment: To Employee ID

    • Assignment: Number

    • Employee: System Number

Business Rules

  • New System-Level Business Rules to support using the same Business Rule in multiple companies and processes

  • Added support for System-Level User Tables in Table Lookups

  • Fixed an issue where the Table Lookup output of a null result converted to the decimal data type instead of the configured output type

  • Fixed an issue where running a Table Lookup with custom fields prompted an exception error and returned no results

  • Fixed an issue where the Sort By in Table Lookups were not working with the authorization and company context Business Rules

  • Added support of text Labels in Business Rules

  • Origin, Usage and Business Rules History grid now supports Pulse Checks in Business Rules

  • New “Get Currency” Function in Business Rules to fetch the currency part of a money output type component (Table Lookups, Variable Inputs, or Other Business Rules)

  • Improved Business Rules execution performance in the areas of: Circular Reference check, Input Dependencies check, Business Rules steps builder (for rules with multiple steps), Circular Reference cache, InputCheck (in Cost Estimate creation), the CriteriaSetManager (now reusable in the CE execution) and removal of Circular Reference check from CE execution (check is already granted during the Business Rule configuration)

  • New table for caching generated SQL conditions from Business Rules executions to improve execution performance

  • Improved the execution of Business Rules with multiple steps – generic improvements and cache improvements on QueryBuilder cache

  • Enhancements in the BEST metadata dataset structure supports:

    • company-level custom fields

    • 2 new fields: What-If Cost Estimate: To/From State Province Tax Estimator, to be used in fields inside the Company-context Business Rules

  • Fixed an issue where a validation error was being prompted when comparing a number and money data type field

  • Fixed an issue where the Assignment Package execution with Business Rules was running slower than expected

  • Comparison operators “Is Less Than (or Equal To)” and “Is Greater Than (or Equal To)” now available when used with text data type sources

  • Fixed an issue where the Data Type mismatch tooltips did not appear when hovering over the data type icon

  • Fixed an issue where it was not possible to delete Business Rules with Inputs configured

  • Better error messaging when a Cost Estimate with Business Rules fails – additional details provided (Business Rule, the step of the Business Rule, and the specific part (Conditions, Then, or Else)

  • Improved error messaging of Business Rules executions

  • Fixed an issue where cascading Business Rules with the output type data failed if user’s browser date configuration settings were set to a different location other than the U.S.

  • New Select Existing / Copy / Run Business Rules components (Table Lookups, Functions, etc) grid to replace the old drop-down selector

  • All Business Rules internal grids (usage, status history, table lookup results, etc) upgraded to all have the same UI style

Checklists

  • Fixed an issue where checklist items could not be assigned to resources that have the Resource Role Association Rule set to “**Please Select**”

Compensation Worksheets

  • Fixed an issue where changing the home country currency on the Assignment Compensation Worksheet Template was not automatically updating the currency on the created effective Compensation Worksheets

Documents

  • Fixed an issue with E-Signature documents where signers in rounds greater than one did not receive notifications in the case of specific Email Header Settings

  • Fixed an issue with E-Signature documents where signers in rounds greater than one did not see the proper reply email address in the case of specific Email Header Settings

  • Fixed an issue where Documents overridden to not “Employee Visible” could sometimes be viewed on the MEE

Election Sets

  • Remaining budget amount is always saved and no longer requires the “Allow Cash-Out” penalty option to be enabled

  • Enhanced the currency pickers for the “Point Conversion” control to be more user-friendly

Migration Packages

  • Migration Package imports “Analyze and Apply” step, improved usability of the Migration Package Data Decisions page. Rows which do not need user input are now collapsed by default. Details can still be seen by clicking the row’s chevron

  • Enhanced the Widget migration package type to include referenced User Reports as well as any dependencies (prerequisite reports, User Report Types, and User Tables used by these reports).

  • Added a new Migration Package Type “Dashboard Layouts” to support the migration of an entire dashboard including all Widgets on that dashboard and all dependencies in a single migration package

  • Fixed an issue that caused some Checklist Template and Quick Workflow migration packages to fail

  • Fixed an issue that caused an error when activating, editing or deleting migrated Checklist Templates with filters

Mobile Employee Experience

  • Removed the Change Password option for Single Sign On users (the option was previously available but not relevant for single sign on users)

Production Reports

  • Fixed general RDLC reports issues for reports with sub-reports with configured parameters

Pulse Checks

  • Fixed an issue where specific user behavior could lead to the conditions on scheduled Pulse Checks losing their comparison values

  • When editing a scheduled Pulse Check Template, user is now taken directly to the Pulse Check Schedule tab

Quick Workflows

  • New “Company Document” table available as a Data Source for company-context Quick Workflows

  • New automation option to “Create CDR Entries”. This functions similarly to the “Create CDR Entry” automation, except it can create multiple CDR entries for the same assignment on a single event, and the Line Item Name Code for each line item needs to be provided by the User Report

  • Compensation Data Repository (CDR) Entries created by Quick Workflows with the “Create CDR Entry” or “Create CDR Entries” automation now include the QWF Event ID in the Created By and Last Updated By fields

Resource Change Batch

A new batch change feature has been added to allow users to easily change the assigned resource of specific checklist items across many assignments. When a resource leaves their role, goes on vacation, etc., the batch will allow the current resource to be replaced with a new resource.

  • The Resource Change Batch can reassign Checklist Task items that are not completed, cancelled, or marked “not applicable” from a current resource to a new resource for all assignments and all companies

  • Assignment Security is honored and users must have rights to edit assignments to change items within those assignments

  • A batch summary screen displays reassigned records and any errors that prevented the resource change

Single Sign On (SSO)

  • Fixed an issue with SSO login where a case mismatch between information on WebConfig file and PingOne Connection caused the SSO session to be denied

  • New reportable table (SSO_PINGONE_IDP_SAML_ASSERTION) that stores all incoming SAML Assertions and SSO initiations

Tasks & Reminders

  • Fixed an issue where Tasks that are assigned to another resource for an assignment could sometimes be viewed by the employee on the MEE

Vendor Integration

  • Fixed an issue where a user was unable to save Integration Event Definition country fields with 2 Char ISO Code Only

  • Fixed an issue with Push Scripts using Basic mode that did not properly set the Where clause for RELOCATION_POLICY_FIELD and RELOCATION_POLICY_FIELD_SECTION fields

Widgets

  • The following Widget Properties, which were previously only available in Power User Mode, can now be configured on the standard Widget Maintenance Page:

      • Use Container

      • Header Visible

      • Header Display Type

      • Header Text

      • Header User Report

      • Header No Records Message

      • Footer Display Type

      • Footer Text

      • Footer No Records Message

These properties only appear for supported widget types. Additionally, not all combinations of settings are valid – the widgets will behave the same as if these properties were set in Power User Mode
