Key Features

Employee Self-Initiation

The ultimate in self-service: Employees can access AssignmentPro and request a move themselves.

Employee auto-provisioning and self-initiation forms make this possible.

User Synchronization

Existing user accounts can now be synchronized with your corporate identity provider (IdP). Meaning that updates to user information, deprovisioning, or changes in roles can be automatically updated in AssignmentPro, to ensure access is correct.

People API Updates – Initiations, Salary, Family Size, Contacts and more

The People API can now create initiations. Additional features have also been added with support for salary, family size, contacts, custom fields, country codes, booleans and webhook authentication.

Reminder: These release notes summarize the changes to AssignmentPro in the current release.

For help using the new features or more details on how they work, the help center contains detailed articles, guides and videos.

Access the help center through the ‘Community / Help Center’ link, or via the help widget on any internal AssignmentPro page.

Other Features

API

  • General API updated have been made updated as follows:

    • The API Subscription Manager has been updated to allow for the configuration of System Profiles for Webhooks, so that the parameters required by target systems to authenticate messages can be input on the screen. The System Profile can be selected when creating a Webhook on the Quick Workflow screen

    • Support for Custom Fields has been added to the API. When enabled, they will be available as attributes on their parent objects, for example Assignment or Employee Requests can now include the desired lookup type per field as part of the URI, so that either an ID or Display Value can be sent or returned. When no lookup type is specified, the stored database value will be returned by default

      • Boolean fields will always return “true” or “false” in responses, and the API can accept different variations of true or false for create or update requests without needing to specify a lookup type

      • Special logic has been built-in for country fields, so that the Display Name, 2 character, or 3-character ISO code can be provided in create or update requests without needing to specify which value is supplied. For read requests, one of the types can be provided in the URI

    • The People API has been updated as follows:

      • The People API Subscription has been updated to grant access to additional endpoints for Assignment Compensation Salary, Assignment Compensation Bonus, Assignment Compensation Policy, Assignment Employee Contact, Assignment Family Size, Assignment Mailing Address, and Relocation Screen Contact, as well as applicable Custom Fields

      • Initiations can be created via API requests using the People API Subscription. A flag to designate when the information for an existing Assignment can be supplied in the request body, and a subsequent request to a specialized endpoint will create an Authorization record. Configuration Template IDs and Authorization Coordinators can be optionally supplied when calling the endpoint

      • Assignments created with API requests will decrement relevant click counters and licensing modules

      • Spouse/Domestic Partners will now be included as a relationship for Assignments

  • A new user API service has been added to sync IdP information for existing users. The API will support multiple scenarios, such as update of user information, deprovision scenarios and profile update (moving from one Role to another)

Authorizations

  • Employees can now use the Mobile Employee Experience to initiate an Authorization to request a move

    • Employee initiations create an authorization record in AssignmentPro, to begin the move process

    • Authorization Templates have a new control (‘Employee Self-Start’) to allow employees to start an Authorization via the Mobile Employee Experience

    • Simple initiation forms can now be created for employees to complete, containing standard fields, custom fields and user table fields. The initiation form allows fields to be grouped in sections, and field order to be defined, with the ability to make fields required

    • A subset of standard Authorization fields and Assignment Custom Fields set to display on Authorizations are supported for self-initiated moves

    • Employees using the Mobile Employee Experience will see a new option to initiate their own move, where the ‘Employee Self-Start’ control has been configured

    • Multiple self-initiated move forms can be configured for employees to select from

    • Current self-initiated move requests and previous self-move requests are visible to the employee at login

  • Fixed an issue where hierarchical lookup fields displaying from User Pages on an Authorization were not honoring the 'Is Required' parameter

Checklists

  • Fixed an issue where merged text on checklist templates was truncating

Compensation

  • The Generic Tax Estimator now supports country specific default values for certain tax calculation inputs, which can be configured for use in Compensation Calculations and Cost Estimates when a country is not supported by the Equus Tax Engine. The Country configuration screen has been updated with a new tab where the desired default values can be specified, and the country can be flagged so that when the Home or Host country for an Assignment matches, the default values will be used by the Tax Estimator. This applies to both Compensation Calculations and Cost Estimates generated manually or by batch processes

  • The Compensation Calculations, WICE and Cost Estimates have been adjusted to support custom values for the Country name, without affecting the Equus Tax Engine

Compensation Worksheets

  • Compensation Worksheet Dictionary entries now provide a link to the selected Custom Calculation

Configuration Search

  • Fixed an issue where the page name was not being displayed on the company picker modal

  • Fixed an issue where the Most Recently Used assignment search was not respecting the default assignment landing page

Cost Estimates

  • Cost Estimates can utilize new logic via the Generic Tax Estimator for country specific default values. See the Compensation section for details

  • Cost Estimates have been adjusted to support custom values for the Country name. See Compensation section for details

Documents

  • Fixed an issue where Last Update By and Date were incorrectly being updated

Export Data

  • Previously, Exports would fail after site migration, this has been resolved

Invoice Management

  • Fixed an issue where Multi-move Vouchers were rejected when using rules based on Assignment information

  • Manual rejections of an expense, either through manual Review or Bulk Review will now require a Reject Reason

  • Audited expenses can now be overridden, an override reason is required

  • Reprocess Voucher is a new operation that allows single expenses or full vouchers to be reprocessed through an updated set of rules

Landing Experience

  • A new Advanced HTML Widget has been added that allows users to use custom HTML code to create advanced custom widgets

  • A new ranking widget has been added to display three categories each with an icon and their counts

  • A User Report is now required to be selected before saving a newly created custom widget

  • The Upcoming Start Date and Upcoming End Date widgets now hide inactive assignments

  • The ‘Active Assignments by Phase’ widget now inspects multiple date fields and shows an End Date based on the same field priority list as ‘Upcoming End Dates’ widget:

    • Assignment!Actual End Date

    • Authorization!Actual End Date

    • Assignment!Current Extension End Date

    • Authorization!Current Extension End Date

    • Assignment!Scheduled End Date

  • Employees can now self-initiate a move. See “Authorizations” for more information

  • Fixed an issue where multiple money custom fields on the employee profile could cause instability

Payroll Reporting

  • Fixed an issue on generating a payroll report/export, where the generated file format was different than before (with the headers bold and underlined), due to the file now being generated as a pure excel file. The system preference “RPEXCDTHTM” will allow roll-back to the previous exporting behavior

Policy Fields

  • Relocation Policy Fields have been updated so Service Order Types can be configured for each Policy Field. This will allow users to report on service orders details and policy field exceptions together
