Push Notifications in the MEE App

Push notifications can now be sent to Employees via the Mobile Employee Experience app.

Notifications make it easy to inform employees of updates to their move, including appointments for services and actions to take.

Document Management Functionality

A new info panel provides information and actions for a document.

Employee visibility can be easily turned on/off, labels can be added and edited for existing documents and new versions of documents can be added using the replace feature.

Landing Experience

New configuration options allow hiding, re-positioning and resizing of widgets on the landing experience, to apply to all HR / Business users.

Announcements can also be added to the new landing experience.

Assignment Derived Calculations (view)

Added the following fields to the Assignment Derived Calculations view. While these fields were added to support loading of widgets on Landing Experience, they are also available for reporting:

  • Calculated Assignment Start Date: For an assignment, contains the first date value found in the following sequence of fields:

    • ASSIGNMENT!START_DATE,

    • ASSIGNMENT!EFFECTIVE_DATE,

    • AUTH_STAGE_ASSIGNMENT!EFFECTIVE_DATE,

    • ASSIGNMENT! HOME_COUNTRY_DEPARTURE_DATE,

Assignment Details

Fixed an issue where fields were not resizing to fit the page and falling off the screen.

Bank Accounts

Fixed an issue where an unexpected error would occur on the Bank Account screen when a user changed the city.

Compensation Calculations

  • Fixed an issue where undoing large Compensation Calculation Batches would time out.

  • Allow users to retry undoing a Compensation Calculation batch if there were undo errors and improved the display of undo errors.

  • New page added to the Compensation Calculation Details report with information regarding hypo compensation details.

  • Fixed an issue where assignments with family size 0, returned a technical error. Error message was changed to be more user friendly.

Compensation Worksheets

  • Fixed an issue where undoing large Compensation Worksheet Batches would time out.

  • Allow users to retry undoing a Compensation Worksheet batch if there were undo errors and improved the display of undo errors.

  • Fixed an issue where deleting or re-generating a Payroll System Report Batch with failed docs prompt the Unexpected Error page.

Cost Estimates

  • Fixed an issue where cost estimates did not correctly log the user report performance metrics of the user reports that were run as part of processing the cost estimate.

  • Fixed an issue where undoing large Cost Estimate Batches would time out.

  • Allow users to retry undoing a Cost Estimate batch if there were undo errors and improved the display of undo errors.

Documents

  • Visibility of documents on the Mobile Employee Experience can be overridden with a single click within the documents information panel.

  • A new Screen Section in security roles exists called "Documents - Employee Visible Override" to control availability of the new feature.

  • A new "Employee Visible" documents table column exists that indicates if the document is visible on the Mobile Employee Experience.

  • The “Assignment Document (view)” base table now has “Extension ID” and “Extension Status” fields allowing User Reports to access Assignment Extension information for documents that have been added to an Extension.

  • Fixed an issue where certain user roles could no longer upload documents due to not being granted newly added permissions on the updated Assignment Documents page.

  • Fixed an issue where the E-Signature column on the Assignment Documents page would sometimes fail to load.

  • Fixed an issue where the view button on the E-Signature status column would sometimes be missing its caption.

  • Fixed an issue where the Assignment Documents page would sometimes not load.

  • Fixed an issue where the users who had previously visited the Documents page would not get the latest JavaScript for the page without manually clearing their browser’s cache.

  • Added button to modify E-Signature documents prior to sending for signatures.

  • Assignment Contact Type available to be selected as a signer on the E-Signature Document send screen.

  • Most Documents can now be easily edited including their Name, Description, Type, and Labels. Users must be given security role edit rights to the screen section for the document category. See security roles, screen section rights named ‘Documents – …’.

  • Multiple documents can be selected and edited or downloaded as a group.

  • A new document information panel exists to show detailed file information after selecting a file.

  • E-Signature documents now show detailed signer information in the documents information panel.

  • E-Signature documents now always show their status under the file name.

  • The "E-Signature Status" column is no longer shown by default and is now replaced with the "Last Update By" column.

  • Uncategorized documents can now be replaced with updated versions using the documents information panel.

  • Documents table has been visually enhanced for more clarity and easy column resizing.

  • A new Screen Section exists called "Document - Copy Existing Document" to allow more control over the copy feature.

  • Users no longer have to press enter to apply a label to a document.

  • Users can now see all documents in a single list without sections using a new "Hide Sections" button.

  • Documents now have meaningful icons to easily see their file type.

  • Adding a document no longer resets the document table columns.

  • Searching for documents now highlights the reason for each search result.

  • When adding document labels, after starting to type a label, all current matching labels in the system will be listed to help keep labeling consistent across the system.

Domestic Grossup

Fixed an issue on the Year End Tax Report where expenses that are excludable in non-conforming states incorrectly appear as taxable.

Employee Requests & Exceptions

A number of updates have been made to employee requests:

  • Employees can delete unsubmitted Requests in the Mobile Employee Experience.

  • New Auto-Save behavior for Requests in the Mobile Employee Experience – replacing the “Save Draft” button on the Request modal.

  • Custom Fields are now supported on Requests in the Mobile Employee Experience.

  • Fixed an issue when the request has the status model active (with the drop-down action button) and multiple custom fields are configured for the same row.

Import Data

  • Fixed an issue where the Employee Assignment Flexible Header import would fail to create or update records if an ID was longer than 30 characters.

  • Increased capacity for the Address Line Fields type from 50/100 to 200 characters

Landing Experience

Internal administrator users can now change which widgets display to their external client (HR / Business) users. This allows companies to better control what their external client users have access to.

Note that external client users can no longer move or resize widgets on the Landing Experience as a result of this feature.

  • Added the Landing Experience Dashboard Maintenance page, which is accessed from the Landing Experience Dashboard Maintenance Summary page at system level.

  • Click View/Edit to open the Landing Experience Dashboard Maintenance preview, which allows the user to see what the Landing Experience looks like without having to log in as a separate user. Limited interactivity is available in the preview, which allows the user to see what widgets look like when their associated data tables are displayed.

  • Click Edit in the Landing Experience preview, to delete or change the layout of the widgets:

    • Click the Trash Can button to delete a widget.

    • Drag and resize the widgets to arrange them into a view that suits the needs of external client users.

    • Saving makes all of the changes available to external client users the next time they log in and returns the user to Landing Experience Dashboard Maintenance preview.

    • Clicking Cancel does not save any changes and returns the user to Landing Experience Dashboard Maintenance preview.

    • Clicking Reset to Default overrides any changes by reinstating any deleted widgets and returning the widgets to the layout that shipped with 20.1.

  • The Landing Experience Dashboard Maintenance page is shipped OFF by default; security role permissions must be updated in order to use it.

Other miscellaneous changes:

  • Enhanced all data tables to hide columns when the widget it too small to show all columns. When columns are hidden, a chevron displays to the right of the row. Clicking the chevron displays the hidden columns and corresponding values under the row.

  • Adjusted size of the Refresh button on all data tables to be smaller and comply with Equus user interface standards.

  • Active Moves by Country: Removed the large gray radio buttons from the map and added a modern-looking menu in the widget title that allows users to easily change the view of the map to be Home or Host country.

  • Announcements now display on the Landing Experience. These can be used to convey important information to the external client users in a given company, and are configured on the Company’s Portal Configuration page.

  • Added the following fields to the Assignment Derived Calculations view. While these fields were added to support loading of widgets, they are also available to reports. Upcoming Start Dates and Upcoming End Dates widgets were updated to utilize these fields.

    • Previously, searching for countries in the Upcoming Start Dates’ data table didn’t return any records. This has been fixed.

    • Previously, the Edit Start Dates page (displayed from the Upcoming Start Dates widget) wasn’t honoring the Relocation Term (Singular) system preference (RELOTERMSI) for the Relocation Effective Date field; nor was it honoring Data Dictionary Metadata Override for visibility and required fields. These issues have been fixed.

Mobile Employee Experience

  • From now on, the navigation bar status (expanded/collapsed) will be stored according with the last session status. When user logs in, it will reflect the last saved state.

  • Fixed an issue where name and type fields could be blank when uploading documents.

Mobile Employee Experience App Push Notifications

Quick Workflows can now trigger push notifications to Mobile Employee Experience app users:

  • New tab and option on the Quick Workflow configuration screen to setup a Push Notification.

  • Ability to configure the title that is sent in the Push Notification, including using merge data.

  • Ability to configure the body (text) that is sent on the Push Notification object, including using merge data.

  • Ability to configure the page the landing page the employee will reach in the Mobile Employee Experience app.

  • 3 Equus System Default QWF with Push Notifications (shipped inactive):

    • Request Bounce – when status is equal to “Needs More Information”;

    • Election Set Published – when a new election set is published;

    • E-Signature Document – when a new e-signature document requires a signature from the employee.

Quick Workflow

  • Fixed an issue where quick workflows that create election sets would sometimes error.

  • Fixed an issue where captions were no longer being set for user reports run in quick workflows. This would cause quick workflows that create CDR entries to fail.

  • Fixed an issue where quick workflows that triggered on the Move Management – Household Goods table would sometimes fail.

  • Fixed an issue where use of Advanced Automation would cause errors when attempting to delete assignments.

Security Updates

As a standard process, Equus fixes vulnerabilities found through testing and analysis. For this release, a few enhancements have been made to address findings.

User Reports

  • Fixed a security related issue with Custom SQL fields.

Vendor Integration

  • Push Scripts created using the Data Mapping tool that include documents will now automatically uncompress those documents when sent to a Vendor.

Vendor Integration – APro to APro

  • Updated functionality for new Assignments to use Assignment!ID as the Assignment Number when RELSYSNUMB preference is set to True.

Widgets/Dashboards

  • Fixed an issue where encrypted fields were not being decrypted on widgets or user reports.

  • Fixed a caching issue where changes to field-level encryption were not being applied to widgets or user reports.

  • Fixed an issue where widget titles displayed “&EQ_SINGULAR_RELOCATION_TERM” rather than “Relocation” or the system defined term for a relocation.

  • Fixed an issue where some widgets would not render correctly in Internet Explorer 11, causing them to appear with infinite width.
