A standard set of resource roles is used throughout the Equus Platform. These roles are assigned to a resource on the Resource screen. When a role, such as Relocation Coordinator, is granted to a resource (for example, John Doe), that resource becomes available in the corresponding coordinator role on relevant screens, such as the Assignment or Relocation screen.

Navigate to the Resource Roles screen by utilizing the Global Search.

On the Resource Roles screen, click on

to create a new Resource Role, or on

to view or edit existing Resource Roles.

Resource Roles Screen

Note that Resource Roles cannot be deleted; they can only be inactivated. If a role is inactivated on the Resource Roles screen, then the role is no longer available to be granted to a resource on the Resource screen.

A role name is always required and must be unique. Modifying the name on this screen changes the name of the role in the resource role grid on the Resource screen. To modify the name, click on the pencil icon. Press [Save] after making changes to the resource role.

Resource Roles Details Screen

Most resource fields can be defaulted with an assignment's relocation coordinator. If an assignment's relocation coordinator is not granted the resource role on the Resource screen, then the defaulting will not occur. This default is set in a system preference that is accessible only through the database.

Things to Note

  • A user report can be created to view all resources assigned to a particular assignment and should have at a minimum the following data sources for the User Report Type: Assignment, Resource Assignment, Resource Role Metadata, Resource and Employee.
