In order to change the order in which a data item is displayed within the report output, change the Sequence allocated to the data item. (For example displaying Employee Last Name before First Name).
The order/sequence of the data fields in the report can be in any order with a few exceptions.
When building a user report for Summary Widgets, it is important that the data field outputting the number that appears in the widget is in the first column of the report.
When sorting is applied. For example. if you sort by Last Name then by First Name, then the Last Name field must be before the First Name field in sequence. Alternatively, if the First Name field is prior to the Last Name field, then the report will be sorted by First Name, then by Last Name.
Change the Sequence value of the row(s) to change. For example, for the First Name column to appear before the Last Name column, the sequence values for these two columns need to be changed as follows and click on

Note that any changes made to a data field row changes to a yellow color.
The screen refreshes with the saved changes.
