This section will allow the user to select which columns will be displayed on the chart and in what order they will be displayed in.
Chart Data
Column Name: This drop down list will include all the Column Captions from the Data tab of the user report.
Chart Role: The selection made here will determine the role that each column of data plays in the chart. This field can also be used to configure a Sub Title for the chart. The following options can be selected:
Axis Label: This option should be selected for the column to be displayed on the chart axis. For example, if the chart that is being created is a chart that shows number of Assignments by Policy by Quarter then this option should be selected for the Policy field.
Data Series:This option should be selected for the columns to be displayed in your chart. For example, if the chart that is being created is a chart that shows number Assignments by Policy by Quarter then this option should be selected for each quarter field.
Chart sub-title: Configuring a Sub-Title for the chart can be done by selecting this option for the column in the report that should be used as the sub-title.
Data Series Caption Source: If there is a need to pull the caption used on the chart from another column in the report then the column the data is coming from the column can be selected in this field. For example, the standard Assignments by Policy by Quarter chart uses a calculated column for its caption so the caption can be dynamic for the current tax year. Therefore, in this scenario the Data Series Caption Source option should be used.
Sequence: This field can be used to control the order of the Data Series columns in the chart. For example, in the Assignments by Policy by Quarter chart this Sequence can be used to control the order in which the Quarters are displayed.
Chart Colors
The visibility of this section is conditional and will only appear when the Custom Colors or Gradient option has been selected in the Color Scheme field. This section will allow users to choose colors to be used in their chart. The sequence field will determine the order in which the colors are used on the chart. For example, if red, green and blue have been selected, in that order, and the report is reporting number of Assignments by Relocation Coordinator then the Relocation Coordinator with the largest number of Assignments will get the red bar, and the Relocation Coordinator with second largest number of Assignments will get the green bar and so on.
