The Policy Availability tab of the Authorization Template screen can control which Assignment policies are available for selection on the Policy tab/step of the Authorization. For example, if a Template is designed for International Assignment types then this tab can be used to limit the available policies to International Assignment Policies for Authorizations using this Template.

Authorization Template Policy Tab

The field default rule determines the policy availability. Templates can limit all, some or no Assignment policies. There are three options:

  • Deny All Policies - This would make no policies available for selection on the Policy tab of the Authorization.

  • Allow All Policies - When all policies are allowed the Policy tab on the Authorization screen will include all active and non-Candidate Assignment policies that have been established for the given Company.

  • Determine Policies by Availability Rules - allows the available policies to be determined during the authorization and dependent on Employee and Relocation data. The navigation link to the Policy Availability Settings screen will also appear if this option is selected.

For Deny All Policies and Allow All Policies, exceptions to the Default Rule can be added.

and select the policy. The list will return all available policies and are non-Candidate Assignment/Relocation Policy. Any Assignment Policy that has an existing Exception row will be treated as an Exception to the Default Rule for the Authorization Template.

Things to Note

  • Configuration of the Policy Availability Rules is done on the Policy Availability Settings screen.

  • By default, the Default Rule will be set to Allow All Policies

  • Although the policy field can be pre-populated with a pre-determined policy value, this field must be remain an editable field as the Authorization process does not support making this field (AUTHORIZATION!RELOCATION_POLICY_ID) a Read Only field.
