Each Authorization Template can be assigned an Override Profile, which allows, on a template-by-template basis, to configure field captions, visibility, and field required-ness settings. An Override Profile can be established at the system level and also at the Company level.

The system-level Override Profiles screen is found at the Configuration level. Select Authorization Override Profile on the right-hand side of the screen to display the Override Profiles screen.

Note - The company-level Override Profile screen is at the company level, under the Portal Configuration menu group, Authorization Override Profile menu item.

  • An existing profile can be viewed and edited by clicking

  • Inactive: the Override Profile will no longer be available for selection on the Authorization Template screen.

  • Profile Name: Identifies the name. For example, the name can be a list of the fields that are overridden by the profile.

  • Terminology for “Assignment” (Singular): The term “Assignment” or “Relocation” is used quite often throughout the system. Currently the system is equipped with a system level system preference that will allow this term to be changed (e.g. The system preference can be set to use the word Assignment instead of Relocation). This field will override the Authorization fields using this term for any Authorization using an Authorization Template with this Override Profile selected.

This will display the Override Detail screen:

  • Data Source – This type-ahead drop down list includes the available database tables that include fields that can be overridden.

  • Data Field – This type-ahead drop down list includes the available fields that are included in the table selected in the Data Source field.

  • Caption – This will override the screen caption of the selected field.

  • Is Visible - This will override the visibility of the selected field.

  • Is Required – This will override the requirement setting of the selected field.

The overrides established in an Override Profile will supersede any Company or System level Data Dictionary Metadata Overrides that have been established for any Authorization using that Authorization Template. Override Profiles can also be associated with a Policy. Once a Policy is selected during an Authorization workflow, overrides established in the Policy will supersede any overrides from the Authorization Template.
