A Compensation Calculation is created for an Assignment through the user of a Compensation Template. The Compensation Template is used to configure the details of the compensation calculation – the name and description of the templates, which compensation line items are included and the description and calculation details for each line item.

Compensation Template

Compensation templates are created at the company level. Company templates are available by selecting Templates menu section within the Company tab.

Multiple templates can be created for each company to reflect different policies or compensation procedures.

After opening the Compensation Templates screen, click

pencil icon

to view or edit an existing template. Click the

plus icon

to create a new template. A new template can be created by defining a new template or copying from a company template. Choose from the two options available and click

ok

to proceed.

The template has four sections:

Each Compensation Calculation template must have a unique Name and Description. The Name is displayed on the Template lookup on the Compensation Calculation screen.

If a Compensation Calculation template is no longer relevant, check the Inactive box. This will remove the template name from the Template lookup on the Compensation Calculation screen.

A Report Title can be provided for a Compensation Calculation Template. This Report

Title will be copied down to a Compensation Calculation and can be used as the title for Compensation Calculation Reports.

A Name must be input to proceed to the next section of the Compensation Calculation Template screen.
