What’s happening to my copyright when I work with elasticStage?

You always retain full ownership of your copyright.

elasticStage does not acquire ownership of your music, recordings, or artwork.

What Rights Do You Grant elasticStage?

When you enable the Creator feature and accept our Terms & Conditions, you grant elasticStage a non-exclusive licence for any release you make live on the platform.

This licence allows us to:

  • Manufacture vinyl and CDs on-demand

  • Sell your release through the elasticStage store

  • Display your artwork, metadata, and audio previews

  • Promote your release in marketing or advertising related to the platform

This on-demand manufacturing model ensures that records are produced only when a customer places an order, eliminating the risk of unauthorized copies or surplus production. This approach safeguards artists' intellectual property and prevents unauthorized duplication or reselling of their work.

The licence is non-exclusive, which means you remain free to distribute, license, or sell your music elsewhere.

Additionally, any content provided by artists is used solely to fulfill customer orders placed through the platform, ensuring that elasticStage does not distribute or sell artists’ music independently.

What Happens If I Retire My Release?

If you choose to retire a release, it will be removed from public sale and no longer visible on the store.

However, any orders placed before the retirement date will still be manufactured and fulfilled.

What Happens If There Is a Copyright Concern?

If a copyright concern is reported about a release, elasticStage conducts an internal review to ensure compliance with its policies. If necessary, appropriate actions are taken to resolve the issue, demonstrating the platform’s commitment to supporting artists’ rights and maintaining compliance.
