This article explains what learning paths are, how to create them, and how to use them.

What are learning paths?

Learning paths guide your academy participants through your learning content step by step. Add your exams and courses in the order you want and set specific rules so that your participants can only unlock the next step once they've completed the previous one.

How to create a learning path

  1. Go to Learning paths > Create new learning path.

  2. Enter a title, select a language, and then click Create.

  3. You will see your new learning path in the Learning paths overview. Click on the title.

  4. Go to Learning content and click Add step.

  5. Select Exam or Course.

  6. Make a selection from the drop-down list, or use the Browse option to search by title.

  7. Determine whether this is a Required step. Participants must complete required steps to continue.

  8. For exams, you can also select a minimum grading category to pass. Your participants won't be able to proceed further until they achieve the selected grade.

  9. Click Add.

  10. You can add as many steps as needed.

  11. Publish the learning path using the toggle at the top of the page when you’re ready!

This is an example of how your learning path can be structured:

Once you have added all the exams and/or courses that you want your participants to complete, you can drag and drop them into the order that you want them to be followed.

How to assign learning paths to groups

There are two ways to enable your learning paths:

  1. Go to Learning paths > Learning path title > Groups to add a learning path to one or multiple groups.

  2. Or go to Academies > Manage > View all groups > Group title > Learning paths to add one or more learning paths to a group.

Participant view

Once you publish a learning path and assign it to a group, your participants will follow your content in the order you intended, without skipping ahead.

Exams become real checkpoints, so you know each step is mastered before the next one starts.
