Step 5 of 17: Understand the Prototype DWG

A3.5: Default Layout Settings

Written by Alexandra Göttert

Prerequisites

  • You can switch components and dimensions on/off locally and globally.

Steps

1.) Understand that the default prototype is embedded automatically. The Tables2000.dwg file (the view frame layout prototype) is automatically embedded in the standard DigiPara Liftdesigner program.

2.) Understand what the prototype DWG contains. It contains predefined Dimension Style, Block, and Text Style configurations, as well as the default Layers — this is the source of every view frame's default layout (see also B3 – Prototype & Layer Configuration for customizing your own).

Result

You understand where a view frame's default layout comes from — the embedded Tables2000.dwg prototype file.
