Step 6 of 14: Understand Additional Objects

EL1.6: Additional Objects Docking Window

Written by Alexandra Göttert

This begins the tutorial's second section, covering three kinds of user-defined additional geometry.

Prerequisites

  • Own custom materials and hatchings are defined.

Steps

1.) Understand the three kinds of Additional Objects. DigiPara Liftdesigner offers three kinds of additional, user-defined objects: Additional Child Objects (User Component), Additional Wall Openings, and Additional Wall Segments.

2.) Know where to create them. Additional Objects are created via the Additional Objects docking window. The content shown in the docking window depends on which object (e.g. the shaft) is currently selected.

Result

You understand the three types of Additional Objects available and where to create them, before working through each one in detail.
