Step 4 of 8: Create New .ldm12 Modules for Messages and Translations

B4.4: Create a new Manufacturer Module for your Drawing Messages

Written by Alexandra Göttert

Prerequisites

  • Referenced message instead of fixed text in the previous step.

Steps

1.) Create a new module for your messages, using a unique RID. Only use unique RID numbers for the new module. The MF_RID (manufacturer RID) can be requested from DigiPara if you don't already have your own.

(The RID 90 is just a placeholder for your own RID number.)

2.) Create a new module for your translations. Set up a separate module to hold the translations for your messages.

(The RID 91 is just a placeholder for your own RID number.)

3.) Add a New Region Kit manufacturer module per language. To translate your messages into, for example, two languages, add each language to its own new Region Kit manufacturer module.

(The RID 92 is just a placeholder for your own RID number.)

Result

Dedicated, uniquely numbered modules exist for your messages and for each language's translations.
