Prerequisites
The tank is open in the Developer Work Area.
Steps
1.) Change the profile shape and define its size using existing Datamanager parameters. Select the first profile and set its shape and size, referencing the parameters already defined on the tank's data record.
2.) Rotate the profile using the X, Y, and Z axes. Use the orientation controls to rotate the profile into the correct position.
3.) Define the profile's position using a formula. Set the profile's position relative to the component's base point, using a formula rather than a fixed value.
4.) Add a new profile. In DigiPara Liftdesigner, add another profile to the tank.
5.) Change the new profile's shape, and define its size and position. Use the existing Datamanager parameters, the same way as for the first profile.
6.) Save the BIM component back into the DigiPara BIM Library. This updates the modifications made in the Developer Work Area back into the DigiPara Liftdesigner Datamanager, making your geometry changes permanent in the database.
Result
The tank's custom geometry — profile shapes, sizes, orientations, and positions — is fully modeled using the parameters already defined on its data record.
The tank's custom geometry is saved and permanent in the database.
