This step explains the three DataManager table groups the rest of the tutorial configures — read it before editing anything.
Prerequisites
Previous steps are completed. Drawing Border, Title Block, empty Sheet and View Frames exists in the data pool.
Steps
1.) Open the DST tables in DigiPara Liftdesigner Datamanager. Find the related data tables under Dynamic Sheet Templates, and select the correct manufacturer RID.
2.) Understand Sheet Groups. One or more DSTs can belong to a Sheet Group. Each DST can be switched on or off by a user-defined condition, and each DST can contain one or more sheet items that can also be switched on and off conditionally — this lets you switch one or more view frames/DWG files in the DST on or off with a single condition. Each sheet item is linked to a frame group and/or constant group that holds the dynamic sheet content.
3.) Understand Frame Groups. The dynamic view frame is configured in/via Frame Groups. A Frame Group can contain one or more view frames (.ldf) and external blocks (e.g. .dwg, .jpg), as well as sub-conditions.
4.) Understand Constant Groups. Constant Groups let you create your own user storage values per sheet item, depending on your predefined conditions. These values can be used in the External Expression (External$("xxxx...")) in view frames, so the expression content changes dynamically according to the specified constant conditions.
Result
You understand how Sheet Groups, Frame Groups, and Constant Groups relate to each other before configuring any of them.
