Step 2 of 7: Edit the Machine Bed's Data and Parameters

PL10.2: Edit the Meta Data as well as Key Parameters

Written by Alexandra Göttert

Prerequisites

  • A copy of the machine bed exists under your own manufacturer module, with its new RID.

Steps

1.) Edit the description fields. Set GFRT_DESC to My Example Machine Bed and GFRT_SUB_DESC to with Deflection Sheave, so the copy reads as your own product.

The designation of your new product in the DigiPara Liftdesigner library looks like this example:

2.) Define the roping distances between the hitches. Open the complete data table for your new product (it's the first machine bed row) and set GFR_HITCH_DIST_MIN to 545, GFR_HITCH_DIST_MAX to 745, and leave GFR_ROPE_DIST unset (0), as in this example.

3.) Define the deflection sheave. Set GFR_DEFSHEAVE_1_DZ to 505 and GFR_DEFSHEAVE_1_DX to 145.

4.) Assign the related sheave/pulley product. In the machine bed data table, browse to the GFR_DEFSHEAVE_1_RID column and click its box to open the Common components manufacturer library. Select the corresponding pulley for your machine bed.

5.) Define the gear frame and machine room beam parameters. Still in the machine bed data table, set GFR_DZ to 570, GFR_DX1 to 627.5, GFR_DX2 to 287.5, GFR_BEAM1_DY to 187, and GFR_BEAM2_DY to 187.

6.) Set the gear frame positioning mode. Browse to the GFR_MODE column, open its Option window, and change the value to 3 — fixed x-distance between traction sheaves and 1st deflection sheave. Click the row above to close the edit and save the values.

The sign for editing the data row must be gone -> to save the values, click in the row above.

Result

The machine bed's description, roping/sheave data, and gear-frame and machine-room-beam parameters are all defined.
