Complete the previous steps first. This begins the optional refinement of controlling several small components — brake hand release, brake bowden cable, forced ventilation, 3rd rope retainer, and the AE-SMRS64 encoder — with product options driven by a dynamic property, to reduce the gear's polygon count when they're not needed.
Brake Hand Release
Brake Bowden Cable
Forced Ventilation
3rd Rope Retainer
Encoder AE-SMRS64
Prerequisites
The gear's LOD settings are saved.
Steps
1.) Add a record for each new global sub grouping (product option). In DigiPara Liftdesigner Datamanager, add a record for a new global sub grouping for each component you want to control: Brake Hand Release, Brake Bowden Cable, Forced Ventilation, 3rd Rope Retainer, and Encoder AE-SMRS64.
Since these options will be controlled by rules rather than toggled by hand, extend each option's description with the suffix (auto) — DigiPara Liftdesigner then displays the option grayed out to signal it's automatically controlled.
2.) Create a dynamic property using the associated profile group table. Add a record for a new product option's dynamic property in L_ProfilGrpPropConfigItemTab, referencing the relevant GP_USER_PG_nn parameter from the Gear Performance table. The pasted variable reference always starts with L_.
3.) Set the dynamic property's display type to ComboBox for a Yes/No choice. Add a record for the new dynamic property, and set its display type to ComboBox, giving users a choice between predefined values — in this case, Yes or No — instead of a free input field.
Result
Five new product options exist, each named to show it's rule-controlled, backed by a dynamic property that offers a simple Yes/No choice.
