Step 17 of 17: Copy the Jamb Wallopening, Edit Its Meta Data, and Load It

PL4.17: Manage the Wall Opening Size to your Landing Door

Written by Alexandra Göttert

This defines the wall opening the finished jamb sits in.

Prerequisites

  • The landing door's custom jamb is finished and saved.

Steps

1.) Copy the two existing jamb wallopening records. In DigiPara Liftdesigner Datamanager, select the existing two data rows with JWO_RID: 1 and 2 by holding Shift, then copy them into your manufacturer module.

2.) Edit the meta data. Set the jamb wallopening's parameters: wall thickness factor for w.o. width, preset value for w.o. width, factor for ceiling height, preset value for w.o. height, jamb width factor for w.o. width, door height factor for w.o. height, jamb height factor for w.o. height, jamb depth min./max., and door/wall clearance (YN) min./max.

3.) Assign the wallopening to your jamb. Determine related BIM components for your jamb, linking it to the wallopening record.

4.) Load your edited landing door with the new jamb wallopening. Load the landing door in DigiPara Liftdesigner.

5.) Check the result by changing the distance from sill to wall. In DigiPara Liftdesigner, change the value for the distance from sill to wall and confirm the wallopening responds correctly.

Result

The landing door's jamb now has a correctly defined wall opening that responds to the sill-to-wall distance.
