Expose one of a BIM component's 3D parameters as a free-input field in DigiPara Liftdesigner's Properties window, so users can type any value directly — without opening the Datamanager.
Prerequisites
A BIM component already exists in the DigiPara BIM Library, with a profile group (visible via the pink *_PG_GRP column in the component's Datamanager table).
The 3D parameter you want to expose is already used somewhere in the component's geometry (e.g. a profile's size or position field).
Steps
1.) Copy the reference of the 3D parameter you want to expose. In DigiPara Liftdesigner, open the Data tree for your component and locate the parameter under Database Table. Right-click it and choose Copy for Program (not "Copy for Form").
2.) Add a new record in the profile group's config item table. In DigiPara Liftdesigner Datamanager, open the component's Profile group (via its PG_GRP value) and switch to the L_ProfilGrpPropConfigItemTab tab. Add a new record and paste (Ctrl+V) the reference from step 1 into the PGPROPCI_COMP_VAL column. The pasted variable always starts with L_.
3.) Fill in the description and settings, and set the display type to Value. Add a description (e.g. "Height") in PGPROPCI_COMP_DESC, set the remaining fields (action mode, unit) as needed, and leave/set PGPROPCI_DISPLAY_TYPE to 0: Value. Save by clicking the tab a second time.
4.) Test the new dynamic property in DigiPara Liftdesigner. Reload or reopen the component and check its Properties window — the new property now appears under its own heading as a plain input field where you can type any value, and changes the component's geometry directly.
Result
The BIM component now has a dynamic property that users can set to any value directly in DigiPara Liftdesigner's Properties window, without needing the Datamanager.
