DepenSys allows for short drinks breaks in its calculations. When entering ‘Break Length’ for a shift, it is for longer meal breaks, usually lunchtime and the middle of the night. For example, the break length should remain at 00:00 for an early shift of 0800-1400 or a late shift of 1400-2000. A long day of 0800-2000 or a night shift of 2000-0800 would just have, for example, 00:45 entered for a mid-shift meal break of 45 minutes. The other short drinks breaks should not be added.
