Green patents categories

This graph provides a visual representation of the distribution of patents based on their classification into various green categories, as defined by the OECD. Certain patents may belong to multiple green categories, reflecting their relevance to different environmental technologies. By clicking on each category, you can filter the results and thus update all charts based on your selection.

Suggestion:

Pay attention to the green categories with a higher concentration of patents. These categories represent areas where your portfolio has a substantial presence, and prioritizing patent protection and commercialization efforts in these fields.

Green patents subcategories

This chart provides a comprehensive overview of how the analyzed results considered green are distributed in the categories and subcategories defined by the OECD categorization.
The chart displays distinct categories represented by larger bubbles, and within each bubble, you will find the corresponding subcategories, represented as smaller bubbles. The size of each bubble corresponds to the number of patent families attributed to that specific group.

Suggestion:

Focus on the distribution of patent families within each category to understand which areas of sustainable innovation your portfolio is most catering to. Identify niche areas of expertise within broader sustainable technology fields by analyzing the subcategories.

Green patents over time

This chart displays the change over time in the ratio between green and non-green patents, categorized according to the OECD definition.
The graph shown the priory year on the horizontal axis and on the vertical axis the absolute value of patents families. each bar as a grey part, representing the non-green documents, and a green part, representing the green documents.

Suggestion:

Pay attention to significant changes in the green vs. non-green patent ratio or a trend over time, which may indicate critical milestones or shifts in your innovation.

Green ranking

This chart allows you to compare the amount of green patents in the analyzed results, according to the OECD, with the main technology fields. The columns are in pairs, comparing the percentage of green documents of your portfolio to an average portfolio within the same technology fields.

Suggestion:

Use this chart to benchmark the performance of your patent portfolio against average portfolios in the same technology fields. Identify areas where your portfolio excels or lags behind.
