The Legal Status Monitor enables you to stay informed about legal changes in publications without the need for manual follow-up.
Here’s how to set up the monitor and receive timely alerts directly to your email.
Set up monitor profiles to track multiple patents:
Access the Legal Status Monitor
Navigate to the Monitor section, then select Legal status changes from the dropdown menu.
Create a profile
Click on the plus (+) icon to create a new profile.
Name your profile and add a description if desired.
Input the patents you want to monitor
You can manually enter the list of patents, retrieve them from your Octimine collections, or upload an external file for convenience.
Specify whether you want to track publication numbers, application numbers, or both. You can also choose between monitoring only the entered patents or tracking all changes to the patent family globally.
Review and finalize
Click on View Input to review the patents you’ve selected. If everything looks good, click Finish Setup to complete the process.
We will send updates to your email, but you can also access all reports under the Status change reports section in your profile. This section lets you view a detailed list of changes for various periods.
Set up monitoring for individual patents in the patent viewer:
You can easily set up monitoring for single patents directly within the patent viewer. Simply click on the bell icon next to the legal status tag in the bibliographic information. This will add the patent to "My Watchlist". Any updates will be tracked and can be viewed from the Monitors page.
