Easily see corporate ownership details

Updated over a year ago

Corporate ownership data helps you quickly identify the ultimate patent owner, providing clearer ownership information and more accurate search results.

You will find two fields in the Boolean search: Owner and Owner subsidiaries.

  • Owner refers to the person or entity legally holding a patent. Octimine standardizes names, correcting variations among applicants, inventors, and owners, ensuring consistent and accurate search results.

How to use it

Use the Owner field in Boolean search to find all patents directly associated with a specific owner, allowing for more precise filtering of semantic search results.

  • Owner subsidiaries includes the primary owner and all subsidiaries, helping identify who controls patent rights. It's useful for understanding a corporation’s broader patent landscape.

How to use it

Use the Owner subsidiaries field in Boolean search to find all patents linked to a corporation and its subsidiaries, enabling more comprehensive filtering of semantic search results.

Hierarchy tree navigation

When you select the Owner Subsidiaries field on the Boolean search page, a navigation dialogue opens, displaying a hierarchy tree map. This tree shows the full ownership structure, making it easy to trace the relationships between parent companies and their subsidiaries.
