Overview
This article explains how to access, filter, and interpret the Events Audit in the Cye platform — including viewing specific events, navigating from other sections, and exporting data.
Events Audit is visible only to administrators. If you're not an admin, you'll receive a message stating that access is restricted.
View the Events Audit
Click the Auditing icon, then select Events Audit.
This opens a list of recorded events from the past six months.
If you're not an admin, a message will appear saying only administrators can view the Events Audit.
Filter the Events Audit
You can filter events to narrow your focus and locate relevant actions.
Available filters:
Period — Choose a time range within the last six months.
Users — Select by Cye user or any other user who triggered the event.
Event — Filter by specific event types, like finding added to mitigation plan or engagement activated.
Location — Focus on sections such as Findings, Maturity Assessment, or Org. Attack Graph.
Accessing Events Audit from other sections
You can also navigate to Events Audit directly from the following areas in the Cye platform:
Findings
Org. Attack Graph
Engagements
Maturity
In the Findings section:
Click View Events Audit in the Events Audit tab to open the full audit page for that specific finding.
As with other areas, this is only available to Cye administrators. Non-admins will see a message indicating restricted access.
Aggregated events
The Cye platform groups related actions (such as multiple events tied to the same finding) into a single, expandable row.
Click to expand and view all individual events.
Export aggregated events
You can export any expanded group of events:
Click Export from the expanded view.
A secure, time-limited download link will be sent via email to the user who initiated the export.
Wrap-up / Next Steps
Events Audit gives you a detailed window into how your organization interacts with the Cye platform — from admin changes to platform events.
You can explore event patterns, trace activity, and export relevant logs for external review or compliance.
