Fixing Findings with Acceptable Risk Remediation Assets

Mark findings as fixed when their remediation assets are marked Acceptable Risk or Not Relevant.

Updated over 5 months ago

Overview

This article explains how to mark findings as Fixed in Hyver when their associated remediation assets are set to Acceptable Risk or Not Relevant — particularly for findings that do not appear on the mitigation graph.

Details

  • If a finding is not an edge on the mitigation graph and all of its remediation assets have a status of:

    • Acceptable Risk, or

    • Not Relevant
—then the finding can be set to Fixed.

  • When this condition is met, you can update the finding’s status to Fixed directly from the Findings page or the right-hand pane.

  • Once this action is taken, Hyver automatically applies the system tag:
    Acceptable Risk
This tag indicates that the finding was closed based on acceptable-risk remediation and can be used as a search filter.

Wrap-up / Next Steps

If remediation isn't required due to risk acceptance or asset irrelevance, you can still manage findings efficiently without compromising visibility. Use system tags to track these cases for future audits.
