Understand the key actions you can take to manage findings in the Cye platform.

Updated this week

Overview

This article gives a high-level view of the tasks you can perform to manage findings in the Cye platform.
Findings represent verified vulnerabilities, and working with them effectively is a key part of reducing your organization's cyber risk. Whether you're reviewing data, updating statuses, or sharing details with stakeholders — the Cye platform gives you full control.

Each specific action is covered in more detail in its own article.

Details

Here are the main tasks you can perform when working with findings:

  • Viewing and Editing Finding Data – Open a finding to see full details including severity, probability, affected assets, and associated plans.

  • Available Actions on the Finding Details Pane – Take quick actions directly from the finding's sidebar.

  • Editing One or More Findings – Make bulk changes to multiple findings at once.

  • Changing a Finding's Status – Track remediation progress by updating the status: Open, To Do, In Progress, Fixed, and more.

  • AI in Findings – Use AI-powered features to suggest priority, flag risks, or auto-classify new findings.

  • Adding Findings – Manually create a new finding if something was discovered outside of automated scans or assessments.

  • Deleting Findings – Remove findings that are no longer relevant, with the right permissions.

  • Sharing Findings – Collaborate by sharing findings with other team members or external stakeholders.

  • Override a Finding – Adjust the default severity, priority, or classification if additional context requires a change.

  • Exporting Findings – Export findings for reporting, offline review, or integration with other systems.
