Assigning Tags in Hyver

Overview

This article explains how to assign a tag to any item in Hyver — including findings, assets, and remediation assets. Tags help group related items and improve filtering, tracking, and reporting across your environment.


Steps

How to Assign a Tag

  1. Go to the Findings, Assets, or Remediation Assets page.

  2. Select the row for the item you want to tag.

  3. Click the Edit icon to open the edit window.

  4. In the Tags field, select the tag you want to assign from the dropdown list.

  5. Click Close in the tag selector.

  6. Click Update to save your changes.

  7. The tag now appears in the Tags column for that item:


Important notes

  • You can assign multiple tags to the same item.

  • Only existing tags appear in the dropdown. To create a new one, follow the steps in [Creating a Tag].

  • All assigned tags are visible to your team and show up consistently across Hyver.
