The gimbal camera and TB50 battery cannot be swapped interchangeably. However, the storage card can be easily interchanged between devices.

To enhance the battery life, flight experience, and overall performance of DJI Inspire 3, the X9-8K Air gimbal camera has been optimized specifically for aerial photography. Compared to the X9-6K and X9-8K gimbal cameras of Ronin 4D, the X9-8K Air weighs about 50% less, with a centralised centre of gravity, resulting in improved flight time and experience. The gimbal axis arms and lens locking design have been enhanced with vibration-proof features for stable aerial photography, even during high-speed or dramatic flight manoeuvres.

The new TB51 battery offers higher energy density while being lighter and more compact, improving total flight time and wind resistance during forward flight. It also provides better discharge voltage and reliability compared to the TB50 battery.

The DJI PROSSD 1TB used in DJI Ronin 4D is compatible with Inspire 3.

The X9-6K and X9-8K gimbal cameras of DJI Ronin 4D weigh approximately 1.04 kg, while the X9-8K Air of DJI Inspire 3 weighs around 516 g, resulting in a significant weight reduction of approximately 50%.
