The job on our way SMS enables you to send an automatic SMS notification to the job contact when the mobile user taps Travel on the appointment and is en route to the property. This keeps customers informed and enhances communication, reducing the need for follow-up calls and administrative time.
If the event start time is in the past when the appointment is marked as Travel, the SMS will not be sent.

Configure the SMS
➡️ Customise job mobile engineer SMS
Compose an SMS message to inform customers the engineer/technician is on their way to the property.
Click Use tagging to personalise the message with job-specific details such as customer name, job location, and scheduled times.
You can also share the responsible user's profile with the customer by adding the tag
engineer_profile_portal_url
.
Click Save.
💭 Can I customise the portal URL?
No, the portal link cannot be customised in an SMS message due to how the system generates the link. It is shortened automatically during the SMS generation to reduce the number of characters used.
The character limit is 160 characters per SMS. Keep your SMS messages concise to reduce the number of credits used for each message.
