❓ Why Is Coinmetro Making This Change?
The European Union's Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation introduces new standards for how crypto exchanges operate across Europe. As part of our commitment to becoming a fully compliant Crypto Asset Service Provider (CASP), we are transitioning away from USDT trading pairs and adopting stablecoins that align with MiCA requirements. This change helps ensure that Coinmetro remains compliant while continuing to provide a secure and sustainable trading environment.
💵 What Is USDG (Global Dollar)?
USDG (Global Dollar) is a fully regulated, yield-bearing stablecoin designed specifically to meet MiCA requirements.
✅ Regulated and MiCA-Compliant - USDG has been built with regulatory compliance in mind from the start. It is designed to meet MiCA standards and provide greater transparency within the European crypto ecosystem.
🤝 Rewards-Based Structure - Unlike many stablecoin issuers that retain reserve revenue internally, USDG operates within a rewards-based structure through the Global Dollar Network (GDN). USDG is designed to pass rewards back to GDN partners based on activities such as minting.
🚀 Built for the Future - As MiCA compliance becomes increasingly important across Europe, trading against a compliant stablecoin helps position you for the future of regulated crypto markets.

This is the most important thing to be aware of before the migration. Any open spot exchange orders or margin positions on affected USDT trading pairs will be automatically closed when that pair is migrated.
To avoid unexpected closures, you should review and close your open orders before the scheduled migration dates.
🛡️ What Happens to Your USDT Balance?
Your USDT balance remains safe and accessible. You can continue to deposit, withdraw, and hold USDT on Coinmetro. The migration only affects trading pairs and does not affect ownership of your USDT.
🔁 Fee-Free USDG/USDT Conversion
From 29th June 2026, Coinmetro will offer a permanent USDG/USDT bridge pair. This will allow you to convert USDG to USDT and vice versa, and trade between the two without fees. There is no requirement to convert immediately, and the bridge will remain available permanently.
✅ What Do You Need to Do?
Before the migration:
