Views on: Assets

This article describes the capabilities the user has, when creating views on Assets.

Written by Bram Timmers

Cohero offers the possibility to create views on assets. This article describes in detail the various capabilities for views related to this particular resource:

1. Available layouts

When creating a view on assets, the user can choose between two layouts:

  • Table layout: depicting assets as rows in a table

  • Grid layout: depicting assets as cards in a grid

2. Asset filters

Views on assets come with a fair share of filters. Let's break down what filters are available based on general info (in addition, your workspace may offer custom field filters too), and what they enable users to filter on:

Member/Group filters:

  • Asset Owner

  • Asset Manager

  • Created by

  • Updated by

Text filters:

  • Asset name

Dynamic date filters:

  • Due date

  • Release date

  • Expiry date

  • Created on

Status filters:

  • Asset status

Select filters:

  • (Asset) type

  • Project

  • Project status

  • Space

Other:

  • Version

3. Asset columns (available on Table layout)

Table layout-based views on assets offer a wide array of available columns, that users can add to (or hide from) their views. Let's break down what columns are available based on general info (in addition, your workspace may offer custom field columns too):

Status

Asset owner

Project*

Project status

Space*

* These fields are clickable, and will take you away from the view, to open the chosen item.

The first column in an asset view is pinned and can not be removed or hidden. This column is pinned, because it represents the name of the resource that the view is built on - and is important to protect the integrity of the view.

4. Asset sorts

Asset views can be sorted by a number of their fields.
