The Marketplace section lets you discover applications and services available within the Catena-X ecosystem.

πŸ”Ž Navigate to the Marketplace

From the top navigation bar, go to:

Marketplace β†’

  • App Marketplace to view and explore available applications

  • Service Marketplace to browse data and consultancy services

🧩 App Marketplace

The App Marketplace is your entry point to certified, ready-to-use apps that solve industry-specific challenges.

You can:

  • Browse apps by use case (e.g., Traceability, Demand & Capacity Management, Circular Economy, etc.)

  • Search for apps by name

  • Mark favorites to easily access them later under Your Favourite Apps

Each app tile provides a quick overview and links to more details, including publishers, supported features, and activation options.

πŸ’Ό Service Marketplace

The Service Marketplace provides access to consulting and dataspace services from trusted Catena-X partners.

You can:

  • View New Services at the top

  • Filter between:

    • All Services

    • Dataspace Services (e.g., identity or credential-related tools)

    • Consultancy Services (e.g., onboarding or data integration support)

Each service card includes a short description, provider, and a link to more detailed information.

πŸ“₯ Subscribe to Apps and Services

After clicking Details on an app or service card, you’ll be taken to its full profile page. From here, you can:

  • Read a full description of what the app or service does

  • View prerequisites, supported use cases, and data usage details

  • Initiate a subscription request (if available for your company role)

πŸ’‘ Only users with the appropriate portal roles (e.g., Purchaser, Business Admin) can subscribe to apps or services on behalf of the company.

βœ… What Happens After You Subscribe?

Once you request a subscription:

  1. The provider will be notified and can review and approve your request.

  2. You’ll receive a notification under the πŸ”” Notifications section when your request is approved.

  3. The subscribed app or service will become accessible from:

    • Marketplace Management β†’ App & Service Subscriptions

    • Or directly from the dashboard, if applicable

If a provider requires coordination, you may see a message like "Your action is required" with contact instructions.

Manage App & Service Subscriptions

Once your company has subscribed to apps or services, you can monitor and manage those subscriptions directly from the App & Service Subscriptions tab.

Go to Marketplace β†’ App & Service Subscriptions

There, you’ll find two tabs:

  • App Company Subscriptions

  • Service Company Subscriptions

Each tab shows:

  • App/Service title and provider

  • Subscription status (e.g., Subscribed, Requested, Inactive)

  • Action options (e.g., Unsubscribe)

πŸ”Ž Use the search bar or filters to quickly find and manage specific entries.


⚠️ Legal Considerations Before Subscribing

Subscribing to an app or service may establish a legally binding agreement between your company and the respective provider. Cofinity-X does not influence or govern the contractual terms, pricing, or cancellation policies of third-party offerings.

Any questions regarding service cancellation, billing, refund eligibility, or subscription duration should be addressed directly with the app or service provider.

Please note that clicking "Unsubscribe" within the Cofinity-X Portal only updates the subscription status in the interface β€” it does not terminate or modify any active contracts or obligations your company may have with the provider.
