General Information about the EDC:

EDC (Eclipse Dataspace Connector) is a framework that enables secure and standardized data exchange between participants in the automotive value chain, ensuring interoperability and trust.

In Jupiter Dataspace OS release, there are new versions of the EDC available: EDC 0.7.1 and EDC 0.7.3.

Please follow these simple steps to set up an EDC:

1. Select the "Components" module from the sidebar on the left side of the Dataspace OS interface. In this section, you can create new components and view all the components that you have previously created. Click on the "+ Add Component" button located at the top-right corner of the screen.

2. In the "Type" dropdown menu, select "EDC" as the component type.

3. Select the EDC version and the dataspace.

4. Enter the BPN of your company: you can find it in the Cofinity-X portal -> Your account -> Your company

5. Enter Component Details:

  • Component Name: Enter a unique name for the component. This name will be used in the URL of the EDC. Only lowercase letters and dashes must be used.

  • Display Name: Enter a display name. This name will be used to display the component in the user interface.

  • Description: Provide a brief description that gives an overview of the component.

  • Company/Department Name: Enter your company name or the name of the department you are associated with.

  • Cost Center: If applicable, enter your cost center number. If you do not have one, simply type "0".

  • The "Token Receiver URL" is for App Providers to connect via APIs. If you're not an App Provider, you can skip this step.

6. IATP properties. To find the values for the IATP properties, please navigate to Portal -> Technical Setup -> Connector Registration -> at Connector Configuration Details click on the arrow:

For the technical user details, Please navigate to portal → Technical Setup → Technical User Management → Create a Technical User. Assign it a name and a description. Choose the technical user role: Identity Wallet Management

7. Enter Control Plane properties:

API Authorization key must be set up as a complex password. This will be used in the API exchange.

BPNL-DID Resolution Service URL (BDRS) can be found together with the other IATP properties in the Portal -> Technical Setup -> Connector Registration -> at Connector Configuration Details, listed as a DID Resolver

8. Click on “Add” and the component will be created in a few moments!
