Adding a DataSource to your DataGrid

You can see the entire list of DataSources available to you for use in your visualisations in the Datasource table. If you have lots of DataSources, you can search by DataSource name.

Site Selection

IMPORTANT: When you visit this page, the site selection is set, by default to your “Home Site” but this can be overridden by selecting an alternative site in the site dropdown list beside “Find DataSource” at the top left of the screen. Once overridden CoolPlanetOS will remember your chosen site for for the rest of the session.

Your first search and subsequent searches

On your first visit to this page, before any DataSource has been added to the DataGrid, you must type in and click the Search button/ hit Enter key to get a result set.

Going forward, If you have previously added a DataSource into the DataGrid, when you next visit this screen, the grid will contain data from your previous activity.

In addition to the two fields on which DataSources can be searched, the user can now limit the result set based on usage:

Adding DataSources can be added to the DataGrid, by clicking on a result and your selected DataSources are added in the background to the grid.

Once you have added all of your DataSources to the DataGrid, you can close this window by clicking on “X” on the top-right corner of this window.
