If your underlying data doesn't include all of the data that you need to build your visualisations, you can also create new columns in CoolPlanetOS using calculations and then save them. These are called calculated columns.
Why Use Calculated Columns?
Calculated columns allow you to create new data from data that already exists as DataSources. When you create a calculated column, you are essentially creating a new column in your data source and the values it contains are determined by a calculation that you define. These new calculated columns are saved as a new data source in CoolPlanetOS and can be used to create visualisations and your original data remains untouched.
