Once you have created several opportunities within an Opportunity Register, it can be helpful to filter and refine the list of opportunities to focus on the information that is important to you. You can do this via the basic filters or the advanced search.
How does the Basic search work?
You can use this feature to search for the Name of the Opportunity. A memorable and descriptive name for an Opportunity will help return specific search results.
How does the Filter work?
The filters at the top of the screen allow you to refine what you see in the status cards and the content of the table below. You can apply the below basic filters to your register:
Filter by Savings
You can toggle between the types of savings (Energy, Carbon or Financial) to show one type of savings in your Status Cards and Register.
Filter by Site
Filtering by sites lets you see the Opportunities associated with each site registered in this account. You can also set this filter to show "All Sites". This filter is set to your Home Site if you have one assigned.
Filter by Assignee
Filtering by assignee shows all opportunities assigned to a specific user and allows you to understand how the users responsible for an opportunity are progressing with their work.
Filter by Currency
You can filter by specific currency if more than one is used across the organisation or view "All Currencies."
Filter using the Status Cards
Clicking on the "Status Cards” (In-Progress, for example) will filter the list of Opportunities in the table below to only show opportunities with the selected status. You can click on multiple status cards to see a blended list of Opportunities across different statuses.
Click on any of the selected status cards again to deselect it.
How do I use the Advanced Search?
The "Advanced Search" allows you to search across the range of available fields to find specific opportunities that match the search criteria. You can search for opportunities for multiple sites, multiple assignees, specific savings values, or between specific dates, as well as a number of other criteria.
Clicking on "Advanced Search" opens a drawer over your register, where you can select the different search parameters. Search results are updated dynamically as fields are selected.
Clicking the "Clear Fields" button also clears the results and resets the register to its default state.
The filters driving the advanced search results are then displayed above the list of opportunities. This gives you a summary of the search parameters and allows you to quickly remove some of them if necessary to broaden your search again.
