The DataGrid footer can be a quick way to determine some key facts about the DataSources that you have added to your DataGrid.

Selecting one or more cells

One or more cells can be selected, by single-clicking into the cell and dragging the mouse.

Selecting an entire column

When an entire column is selected, the header and all cells will change colour and the stats are updated

As you select data, you will notice that the information presented at the bottom of the DataGrid (the footer/status bar) is updated automatically.

Left-Hand Footer

By default, a count of the total number of rows within the DataGrid is shown in the bottom left of the footer. When one or more cells/ columns are selected, the number of rows and stats related to the selections are shown.

Right-Hand Footer

As shown in the screenshot, in the bottom right of the DataGrid footer, for the rows/columns you have selected, you can see the Average of All values, a count of the selected cells, the minimum value across all selected cells, the maximum value across all selected cells and the sum of all selected cells.
