How to generate, and customise, your annual targets

In this step, set the target you want your site to achieve by the target year. Below is an overview of each field:

Target Range

Define the start and end points of your Glidepath. The start year should be the same as or later than the year chosen as your Baseline. This range sets the timeline over which your reduction targets will be applied.

Description

Provide an optional description of how your Target has been derived, such as any assumptions, benchmarks, or relevant links. This helps other users understand the Glidepath setup more fully.

Baseline Source

This is a link to the Datasource used in the previous Baseline step. Clicking this link opens the datasource in a new window, serving as a quick reference when calculating site targets.

Reduction Target

Specify the percentage reduction of carbon emissions or overall energy you want your site to achieve by the target year. By default, CoolPlanetOS will automatically generate and populate the values between the Glidepath range. For example, if you aim to reduce carbon emissions from 100,000 tonnes of CO2 by 90% over 10 years, you need to decrease your emissions by 90,000 tonnes over that period.

Preview

Preview your Glidepath in real-time as you enter or edit a target. This feature allows you to visualise the impact of your targets on the overall performance trajectory, before the Glidepath is created.
