The Site Drawer in Organise now includes a Resources tab, introducing a new Site Resource Table. This is where you configure the resources available on opportunities for each site, and it forms the foundation for automated savings calculations across the Opportunity Register.

Getting started

Each site comes pre-populated with the resources that were previously available when adding a resource to an opportunity, so there is nothing to set up to maintain your existing workflows.

To add a new resource, simply select a Subject (e.g. Electricity, Natural Gas, Water) and a Quantity (e.g. Energy, Volume, Mass). The same subject can be added more than once with a different quantity, for example Natural Gas (Energy) and Natural Gas (Volume) can both exist on the same site as separate resources.

A resource with only a Subject and Quantity is immediately available on opportunities in Manual Entry mode. No further configuration is required to start using it.

Unlocking automated calculations

Each resource can be further configured to enable automated savings calculations on opportunities.

Unit price datasource adds the cost per unit of the resource (e.g., EUR per kWh). Once added, the resource is available in Datasource Derived mode, allowing cost savings to be calculated automatically from consumption figures. Two additional dropdowns let you specify the numerator and denominator units of the datasource so CoolPlanetOS can interpret the rate correctly.

Carbon scope sets whether the resource has no carbon emissions (N/A), direct combustion emissions (Scope 1), or indirect emissions from purchased energy (Scope 2). Selecting N/A requires no further configuration. Selecting Scope 1 or Scope 2 enables two additional datasource fields:

Carbon price datasource provides the cost of carbon per unit (e.g., EUR per tCO₂), used to calculate carbon cost savings automatically.

Carbon intensity factor datasource provides the emissions intensity of the resource (e.g., tCO₂ per kWh), used to convert consumption figures into carbon savings automatically.

Summary

Subject and quantity only: the resource is available in Manual Entry mode on opportunities.

Add a unit price datasource: unlocks Datasource Derived mode for automated cost savings.

Add carbon price and intensity factor datasources (Scope 1 or 2): unlocks full automated carbon calculations.

Please ensure any currency-based datasources match the site-level currency, as currency conversion is not performed automatically.
