The Production Line Dashboard already gives teams powerful visibility into energy use and production efficiency at the SKU level. With this latest update, we’re introducing new metrics, smarter comparisons and more interactive tools that make analysing your production lines even easier.

These enhancements build on your feedback and are designed to help you pinpoint inefficiencies faster, understand true production performance and make more informed decisions.

Richer Metrics for Deeper Insight

We’ve added new measures that provide a fuller view of both cost and efficiency across your production lines, including:

  • Total Cost – the combined cost of all energy types associated with each SKU.

  • Total Energy – a consolidated view of gas and electricity consumption.

  • Total Carbon – carbon emissions based on energy use and emissions factors.

  • Average Energy per Unit – energy consumption normalised by output.

  • Production Efficiency (%) – the ratio of product output to material input.

These metrics appear across key widgets, giving you more clarity on what drives cost, energy use and carbon impact.

Smarter Comparison with Lens Views

A new selector lets you switch your SKU Summary Table between Cost, Energy and Carbon views. Each lens updates the table dynamically, allowing you to compare SKUs based on the performance measure that matters most to you.

Enhanced Visualisations

We’ve improved the dashboard’s existing charts and tables to help you explore production performance more effectively:

  • Additional metrics in the combo chart, including Total Energy, Material In and Product Out.

  • A more detailed SKU Energy Breakdown Table, now featuring Total Energy for each SKU.

  • An Energy Unit Selector so you can switch between kWh, MJ or your preferred unit.

Interactivity That Surfaces What Matters

You can now highlight specific SKUs across multiple charts. Selecting a SKU in the Energy Breakdown bar chart will update linked charts to show only the periods when that SKU was in production. This makes it easier to uncover patterns and isolate inefficiencies.

Filter by SKU Across the Dashboard

A new SKU filter at the top of the dashboard lets you narrow the entire view to a single product. All tables and charts update instantly so you can focus on what matters for that SKU alone.

Real-World Value

These enhancements give production, energy and operations teams more precise insight into what’s driving cost, energy and carbon intensity on their lines. By expanding the metrics available and making it easier to isolate performance issues, the dashboard now delivers:

  • Faster root-cause analysis

  • Clearer comparisons across SKUs

  • Better alignment between cost, energy and sustainability goals

If you’re already using the Production Line Dashboard, these upgrades will help unlock even more value from your data.
