Filtered Views (Datasource, Equipment, Spaces)

Filtered views let you pivot the Organise tree into focused lists of specific node types: Datasources, Equipment, and Spaces, so you can see richer, context-specific details and take bulk, context‑aware actions (like tagging and bulk applying the Subject field) that aren’t available in the standard hierarchy view.

What are Filtered Views?

Organise typically shows a hierarchical structure (sites → Spaces → Equipment). Filtered views are dedicated tabs that flatten that hierarchy into a list of one node type at a time, surfacing fields that matter for that type and enabling actions tailored to those nodes.

  • Datasource view: Shows all captured datasource fields in one place. Ideal for data quality checks, onboarding new integrations, and bulk management.

  • Equipment view: Focuses on equipment nodes, with key fields and quick actions for asset hygiene.

  • Spaces view: Focuses on spatial nodes (e.g., buildings/areas/rooms), so you can maintain spaces at scale.

Why this matters: The standard hierarchy is great for navigation, but it doesn’t expose the full set of node-type fields or allow high‑volume edits. Filtered views do.

How to access

  1. Open Organise.

  2. In the top bar, select the Filtered Views tabs: Datasource View, Equipment View, or Spaces View.

  1. Use the search, filters, and column controls to refine the list. The filters are context-specific.

About each view

Datasource view

Designed for data stewardship. You’ll see all available fields for each datasource node in your workspace (for example, Quantity, Subject, and Fold).

What you can do:

  • Search and refine the list of Datasources by name, tags and specific fields.

  • Quickly tag multiple datasources.

  • Bulk apply the Subject field to selected datasources.

  • Inspect datasource-specific fields that are not visible in the standard hierarchy view.

Equipment view

A focused list of equipment nodes with their equipment-specific fields and tags.

What you can do:

  • Bulk tag equipment for faster classification.

  • Bulk apply the Equipment Type.

  • Clean up or complete equipment metadata without navigating the tree.

Spaces view

A focused list of spatial nodes (e.g., buildings, floors, zones, rooms) with space-specific fields.

What you can do:

  • Bulk tag spaces for wayfinding, reporting groups, or policies.

  • Bulk apply the Subject field to standardise naming and downstream reporting.

Note: Field availability varies by workspace configuration and permissions. You’ll only see columns/fields that exist for your tenant and that your role can view.

Context‑aware actions

Filtered views enable actions that are aware of the node type you’re working with.

  • Bulk tagging: Select multiple rows → Actions → Add tags. Tags are applied to the selected nodes only.

  • Bulk apply Subject field: Select nodes → Actions → Set Subject. Use this to standardise Subjects without editing items one by one. (Datasource view only.)

Tip: Use filters (e.g., by site, status, tag) to create a precise working set before applying bulk actions.
