A WorkBook can have one or more DataGrids to allow users to create calculations or charts that can be used in Dashboards as Widgets. This article will cover topics related to Types of DataGrids, different columns and an introduction to Single Values.
A DataGrid allows you to see, and work through, your data in a familiar excel-like format. So, when you add your DataSources, you can visually review them, sort them, select specific rows and cells, duplicate columns, resize them, and export some or all of your data.
This is particularly useful should you wish to refine your data before creating a chart for a widget.
By default, the text within the column headers is a combination of the “custom name + unit”.
This custom name is:
The duplication of the DataSource Name.
The name that was given to the calculations.
CoolPlanetOS DataGrids have two different types of columns;
DataSource Columns and Calculated Columns.
