Accessing the Dashboards Listing Page

You'll find all dashboards you own, those shared with you, and those published to your organisation on the Dashboards Listing Page.

To get there, navigate to the Dashboards Listing Page, located under Socialise in the main menu.

Once on the listing page, you can quickly find what you're looking for:

  • Search: Use the search bar at the top to locate dashboards by name quickly.

  • Sort: Sort dashboards by name to help organise your view.

  • Filter: Refine your list using these powerful filters:

    • Access: See dashboards you've created, co-owned, or those that have been published.

    • Sites: Filter by dashboards tagged with specific sites (dashboards can have multiple tags).

    • Owner: View dashboards created by a particular user.

Viewing a Dashboard

Ready to dive into your data?

From the Dashboards Listing Page, simply click on the name of the dashboard you want to view.

Your dashboard will open in View Mode, displaying all configured widgets. In this mode, you can:

  • Scroll through all widgets to explore data visualisations, charts, and metrics.

  • Change the timerange that is in view for the entire dashboard and rollup period of the data being displayed.

  • Interact with widgets:

    • Expand the Widget: Click on the expand symbol on the top-right-hand corner of a widget to expand it. This gives you a larger view of the chart and a table of the data sources used. You can toggle the view to see the chart only, the table only, or both (which is the default).

    • Adjust Time Ranges: While expanded, change the time range of the chart and the rollup interval (how the data is grouped). You can also compare the data to a previous period by selecting an option from the "Compare to" dropdown. This adds additional series to the chart and rows to the table for easy comparison.

    • Add Annotations to Combo Charts: Click the "Add Annotation" button, then select the timestamp where you want to add the annotation. A modal will launch, allowing you to give the annotation a Title, change the timestamp if needed, and add more details. The creator's name is also captured. Once saved, the annotation will be visible to all users with access to that dashboard. You can toggle annotations on or off as needed.

    • Hide/Unhide Series: While viewing a chart, you can click on a series name to temporarily remove it from the chart. This is useful for focusing on specific data without permanently altering the dashboard.

    • Further Interrogate Data: Click the "Open in Explore" button to open a Workbook in a new tab and conduct deeper analysis.

Editing Dashboards

If you have permission, you can easily switch to Edit Mode from any viewed dashboard:

  1. Open the dashboard you wish to edit.

  2. Click "Edit Dashboard" in the Action Menu.

From here, you can:

  • Update dashboard details: Change the name, description, associated sites, and default date range.

  • Manage widgets: Add, remove, or rearrange widgets.

Once you've made your changes, click "Save Dashboard" to apply them and return to View Mode.
