An Overview of the Production Line Dashboard in CoolPlanetOS
The Production Line Dashboard enables users to monitor energy consumption and production efficiency, broken down by SKU (Stock Keeping Unit), across individual production lines at a site.
Where to Find the Production Line Dashboard
The Production Line Dashboard is available under the Enterprise Dashboards section at Site Level.
Navigate to a site in your Enterprise Dashboards.
Select the Production Lines tab.
Note: This feature is only visible if enabled in Client Preferences.
Selecting a Production Line
When viewing the Production Line Dashboard:
A Production Line selector appears beside the Date Range selector.
All available Production Lines at the site are listed alphabetically.
On first load, data from the first Production Line is shown.
Selecting a different Production Line updates the dashboard view.
The selected Production Line is captured in the dashboard URL, allowing easy sharing.
Selecting a SKU
When viewing the Production Line Dashboard:
A SKU selector is visible at the top of the dashboard
All SKUs are selected by default, but users can filter the dashboard by a specific SKU.
This SKU Selector is based on the SKUs produced during the currently selected date range
Dashboard Overview
The dashboard includes the following key elements:
1. Headline Figures
At the top of the dashboard, three Headline Figures provide an instant snapshot:
Latest SKU: The most recent SKU being produced.
SKU Cost (<Currency>/1,000 units): Energy cost per 1,000 pieces.
SKU Cost (<Currency>/<production unit>): Energy cost per production mass unit.
2. SKU Summary Table
The Production Line SKU Summary Table displays detailed information per SKU produced during the selected period, including:
SKU
SKU Cost per 1,000 units
SKU Cost per tonne (or other unit)
Total Gas Energy (kWh)
Total Electrical Energy (kWh)
Material In (mass or volume)
Product Out (mass or volume)
Total Energy (kWh)
Production Efficiency (%)
This table can be viewed through the lens Cost, Carbon or Energy, with the table inputs changing according to the selection. It defaults to Cost on first load.
Tip: Clicking on a numeric cell opens the SKU Metrics Expanded View, displaying a time series history for the selected SKU and metric.
3. Daily Energy by SKU (Stacked Bar Chart)
This chart shows the daily energy used by each SKU produced on the production line:
Each colour represents a different SKU.
The height of each stack represents total energy used per day.
Clicking a SKU on the chart highlights that SKU and updates the sub-component energy chart beneath to only show that SKU also. Clicking the bar on the chart again makes all of the SKUs visible again.
4. Energy Totals and Sub-Component Breakdown (Combo Chart)
This combo chart visualises:
Total Gas Energy
Total Electrical Energy
Subcomponent energy breakdowns (colour-coded: shades of green for electricity, orange for gas).
Total Energy (black)
Material In (blue)
Product Out (dark grey)
5. Production Line SKU Energy Breakdown Table
